History

 

A-1 United was established in 1975. In 1981, Ray Barr, Tom Brummett, and Stan Gregory purchased the company with the amibition to become successful as one of the leading heating and air conditioning companies in Omaha. After starting out with only one installer and one service technician, their dream has come true by growing into a staff of more than 80 people and branching out into all areas of the HVAC business.

 

In 2007, one of the owners, Tom Brummett, retired after 26 years of committed service. He helped to grow A-1 United into the company it is today and will be dearly missed.

 

Although Tom's shoes are not easily filled, we have chosen Allen Terry to take his place. Allen has served as a dedicated employee for 15 years.  He began as a residential installer in 1992, then after six years advanced to the position of supervising our residential new construction division. He has been a huge asset to us in the past and has plans to continue helping our company grow.

 

In May of 2007 we implemented and Employee Stock Ownership Plan, (ESOP). In essence, we have turned over ownership of the company to our dedicated and loyal employees.

 

Over the past 26 years, A-1 United has become the largest Lennox dealer in the Midwest. We owe this to all of our devoted customers.  Without you, our company would not be where it is today.

 

Recognition

 

A-1 United has received several awards in the past years. Our loyal customers and hard working employees are to thank for each of them.

 

We have won the "Best of Omaha" award three years in a row.  Also, according to our customer satisfaction survey, our overall rating is a 98%, which is classified as Excellent.

 

The "DAVE LENNOX AWARD" has been presented to us in 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2005. This award is only given out to the top 25 dealers out of 7,500 in North America. The dealers are graded by quality of customer service as well as sales volume.

 

Lennox also offers the "DAVE LENNOX CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE AWARD," recognizing dealers excelling in sales, service, and management. We received this award in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2003, and 2004.
